Welcome to Back On Track Housing

Back On Track Housing is an Ofsted registered provision dedicated to providing supported living services for young individuals aged 16 to 24 years of age. Our primary goal is to empower and assist our service users as they strive for independence and prepare to transition from the care of the local authority to independent young adulthood. We welcome young people from diverse backgrounds, including "Unaccompanied Minors" and those with "Refugee" status, and are committed to supporting individuals of various religious, cultural, ethnic, and sexuality backgrounds. We are deeply passionate about our work with young people and take pride in the services we offer.
By collaborating with professionals and organisations, we aim to give our young people the best possible start in life. In addition to providing tailored support, we partner with employers and training institutions to create opportunities for our service users to progress positively and gain valuable experience in their chosen fields.

Testimonials

  • I have a YP moving in with Back on Track on Thursday this week. I shared with the manager that this YP is very nervous about the move. She responded straight away offering to go to meet the YP again before the move and to take her out for a meal, potentially bringing one of the older residents with her to help the new YP to feel comfortable with them and less daunted by the move. This was completely her suggestion and at no point did she ask for a financial contribution towards doing this. We are not paying a retainer for the room so the placement will not be paid for until the YP moves in. I have never experienced a semi-independent provider to be so nurturing and child-centred, thinking about ways to make YPs feel as comfortable and supported as possible. I have not experienced a provider offering to do something like before and feel that once again, Back on Track are showing themselves to be head and shoulders above other providers. 23/01/23
  • I just can't stress strongly enough how nurturing they are. I placed a YP with them yesterday and have never seen such a warm, welcoming and nurturing approach to a child's first day in a SI unit. The manager greeted the YP at the door and had bought all the ingredients for the YP's favourite meal. She spent the whole day with her yesterday, settling her in, and took her shopping and for a drive. She was tremendously reassuring and did everything she could to make the YP (who was very tearful and upset) feel at home and cared for. 27/01/23. A Resident
  • This placement is the most nurturing semi-independent</span> that I have worked with in high years of working with 16 and 17 year olds in the care system, at two different local authorities. Their approach is like a mixture of semi - independent with Forster care and the two managers are incredibly nurturing, patient and trauma- informed. They use therapeutic parenting techniques and celebrate strengths, whilst being firm and boundaries when needed Laura Toal
